As someone who is very scheduled & tries to maintain organization, I feel like this definitely influences my eating habits! Ive always struggled with digestion issues and food allergies, and therefore found food planning frustrating & difficult!
At this point in my life, I feel I am still working on my health goals & I couldn’t certainly do better, but I am relatively happy with the food structure I maintain on a daily basis! So here it is!
First, here are foods I avoid to help deal with my digestion issues:
RED MEAT, GLUTEN & HEAVY DAIRY
What is a Bullet Proof Coffee you ask? Basically Coffee, Butter (Grass Fed Only), and XCT Oil ( Metabolism booster). Put all the in the blender and tada! A magical boost to my morning!
I find drinking a black coffee in the morning is too hard on my stomach! This is a great way to enjoy coffee & get an incredible boost to your system in the morning!
I usually make the same smoothie everyday, quite boring of me:
Blueberries, Dates, Spinach, Almond Milk, Greek Yogurt, Honey. Deee-lish!
Lunch varies depending on what is available, but generally lunch is my least exciting meal, with the least effort. Some lunches I usually like to always have ingredients for:
Avocado Toast, Kale Caesar Salad, Rice Bowls, Annie’s Soup (if I am rushed!)
Generally I don’t eat large portions when I have a sit down meal. Because I am snacking ALL DAY LONG.
I would say I snack every hour, or two.
We generally eat dinner later than most. Around 6:30-7:00
Dinner is a meal I generally cook based on my husbands favourite foods, and then adjust it accordingly to fit my food restrictions!
I make Gluten FREE LASAGNA like nobody’s business! Add my Kale Caesar Salad- YUMM.
I also make CHICKEN & VEGGIES A LOT! Veggies mainly steamed! (buying a stove top steaming pot is sooo worth it)
I also love making SPAGHETTI. I simply use spaghetti squash for my noodles instead of spaghetti noodles! (or sometimes I use GF noodles)
I also LOVE CAULIFLOWER PIZZA CRUST DIY Pizzas! Cauliflower crust has been the best tasting GF pizza dough, in my opinion. I LOVE it.
(I buy a meat box for the month from MAYFLOWER MARKET. LOCAL MEAT)
For one Day every two weeks I add a juice cleanse to my everyday routine. I do not replace my meals with juice, I simply add it.
My Favourite Juices are from SPROUT THERAPY!
The Digestion Cleanse is my go to juice cleanse! I feel doing to has significantly helped aid my digestion issues!
My favourite restaurants to order food from:
Now though this is my usual, please don’t be fooled , I am known to grab a handful of chocolate chips at 10 pm, or whip open a jug of dairy free ice cream at 10 am because come on, cravings happen!
Hopefully this is helpful to anyone wondering how I keep my digestive health on tract by keeping a scheduled relatively strict diet! Happy eatin’!
